How Deep Is Your Love?

Have you ever been so deeply in love that you knew you would be devastated if you were no longer in a relationship with that person?

I dont know that I’ve ever felt like that.

What makes me really sad about this is that I’ve been in a relationship for a very, very, very long time. As in, we’re talking metallic anniversaries.  Looking back to the relationships I was in before this one, I know for certain I never felt deeply in love.

So what determines the depth of love someone feels?  Is it based on how your partner treats you or responds to you? Is it based on how you were raised as a child?

I don’t know the answer.  But I do know that this self-revelation has made me very, very sad.

Come, Sleep

“Come, sleep, and with thy sweet deceiving lock me in delight awhile.”

On and off for the last several weeks I have been waking up in the middle of the night and usually don’t go back to sleep.

Tonight, however, sleep feels heavy upon my eyelids, and I am hopeful that sleep will lock me in her arms very tightly.

I hope she’s a good bed mate.

Robbed!!

I love winter. I LOVE winter. But this year we have been robbed of the most beautiful time of the year.

Today in my corner of the world it was over 60 degrees. Tomorrow it is supposed to be over 70!!
That is simply unacceptable and just plain wrong.

I’m new here. I promise I won’t gripe and complain all the time. But PLEASE bring on the cold!
